Chris Evans talked about his wish to star in a Bollywood film while promoting his Christmas picture Red One opposite Dwayne Johnson. He discussed the topic candidly in a recent interview with Filmfare, stating, “I’d love to star in one Bollywood movie.”
“Any kind of international approach to filmmaking—that’s what makes movies around the world so beautiful,” he continued. Because my wife is Portuguese, I’ve been viewing a lot of movies lately that I might not have otherwise watched. There are many exquisite methods to tell human stories in cinema, and the medium has a universal language.
Further, he added, “I’d like to think I can, but I bet I’d look like a fool trying. But, I’d love to give it a shot.”
Chris Evans wishes to star in a musical film…
Earlier, in a conversation with People, Evans expressed his wish to work in a musical film. He said, “I want to sing, dance. That is what I want. I mean, that’s tough though because that’s something you got to do right. You only get so many bites at that apple. But knowing that I’m very precious with it and I want to make sure it’s the right thing. So yeah, that’s always in the works. That’s the quickest way to get me in a room. If you say it’s going to be a musical, I’m listening.”
Coming back to Red One, the film is directed by Jake Kasdan, also stars Dwayne Johnson, Kiernan Shipka, Lucy Liu and JK Simmons in major roles. It also stars Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Nick Kroll and Kristofer Hivju.
