Azaad, directed by Abhishek Kapoor, is generating a lot of buzz, especially with the debut of newcomers Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani. The movie, which also stars Ajay Devgn, is set to hit theaters on January 17, 2025.
On Saturday, producer Ronnie Screwvala shared the exciting news on X (formally Twitter) along with a fresh poster, giving fans a glimpse into the romance between Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani’s characters, with a brief appearance by Ajay Devgn. The caption read, “Iss kahaani ka dil ek yodha hai, aur dhadkan (This story’s heart lies in one warrior and one heartbeat) – #Azaad.”
The teaser reveals that Azaad is a historical romance set in pre-Independence India, where Rasha plays a wealthy girl and Aaman portrays a powerful warrior. The film is expected to explore themes of love, the human-animal bond, and life during British rule.
In addition to Ajay Devgn, Azaad features Diana Penty in a pivotal role, and it marks the debut of Mohit Malik, a popular TV actor. Ajay Devgn expressed his excitement about his nephew Aaman’s debut, and Raveena Tandon also shared her joy about her daughter’s entry into films. The film will release on January 17, 2025, just in time for Makar Sankranti.
