
Chitrangda Singh’s Early Life and Entry into Films
Chitrangda Singh, who is not from a film background, still made a name for herself in Bollywood. She was born in Jodhpur, did her schooling in Meerut, and completed her graduation from Delhi. She started her career as a model and later moved into acting.
She made her Bollywood debut in 2005 with Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, where she acted with Kay Kay Menon and Shiney Ahuja. That same year, she also did a thriller film called Kal: Yesterday and Tomorrow.

The Controversy and Her Break from Films
At one point, Chitrangda almost left the film industry. This happened while she was working on Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, directed by Kushan Nandy. In an interview, she shared that the director forced her to do intimate scenes, which she was not comfortable with. She also said that actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who was on set, remained silent during the situation. However, the director denied the allegations and said that Chitrangda had issues with the script.
Recent Success with Housefull 5
Chitrangda recently appeared in Housefull 5, a comedy film directed by Tarun Mansukhani. Her performance was appreciated by the audience. The film was a big hit and earned over ₹170 crore at the Indian box office.
Upcoming Project with Salman Khan
Now, Chitrangda is all set to share screen space with superstar Salman Khan in an upcoming film. This will be her first film with him. The movie is reportedly based on the Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in 2020. In the film, Salman Khan will play Colonel B. Santosh Babu, who led the Indian troops during the conflict.
