Samay Raina joked in Canada: “Thanks for paying my legal fees—my timing’s bad, but your support isn’t"

Stand-up comedian Samay Raina performed in Canada for the first time after getting involved in the India’s Got Latent controversy. The controversy began when YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, made a controversial remark on the show. This led to severe backlash and even FIRs being filed. Following the incident, Ranveer publicly apologized, and Samay removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube. Samay’s Humorous Take on the Controversy

During his performance in Edmonton, Samay Raina joked about the situation, lightening the mood. A fan named Shubham Dutt, who attended the show, shared his experience on Facebook. He described Samay walking onto the stage looking tired, with dark circles, messy hair, and wearing a dusty black hoodie. Samay’s first words to the audience were, “Thanks for paying my lawyer’s fees,” which made everyone laugh and cheer. Shubham also mentioned how emotional Samay appeared, with tears in his eyes before starting his set.

Samay’s Message to the Audience

Samay also made a witty comment during the show, saying, “There will be moments when you think I could say something really funny, but just remember BeerBiceps, brother. My timing might be bad right now, but remember, my friends—I am the time.” This line received a huge response from the crowd, showing their support for the comedian. Abhinav Chandrachud, lawyer for Ranveer Allahbadia, expresses disgust to Supreme Court.

Despite the controversy, Samay used humor to address the situation and expressed his gratitude to the audience for standing by him during this challenging time. His performance was a mix of laughter and emotion, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
