Kajol is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Maa. In a recent interview with Filmygyan, she spoke about whether her daughter Nysa Devgan might join the film industry like other star kids.
Raveena Tandon, a big star of the 90s, has been loved for her hit films, and now her daughter Rasha Thadani is also entering Bollywood. Rasha recently made her debut in the film Azad, opposite Ajay Devgn’s nephew, Aaman Devgan. Ajay himself was also part of the film. Even though Azad didn’t do well at the box office, Rasha’s performance, especially her dance in the song Uyi Amma, got good appreciation and helped her get noticed.
When Kajol was asked if Nysa will carry forward her legacy like Rasha is doing for Raveena, she replied, “No, I don’t think she will. She is not interested in movies. I love all the kids in my family and want them to do what makes them happy and where they feel they can succeed.” Also read: Shah Rukh Khan Makes Unexpected Entry During Sitaare Zameen Par Shoot.
Kajol also spoke about how her children react to her emotional scenes in films. She said, “My kids don’t like watching my movies because I have to cry in them. They don’t like seeing their mother cry on screen. Nysa and Yug get scared when they see me crying. I’ve told them it’s fake, but they don’t understand.”
Kajol’s next film Maa is a mythological horror drama directed by Vishal Furia. It also stars Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Kherin Sharma. The story is set in a fictional village named Chandrapur. It’s about a mother and daughter who go to the husband’s ancestral house after his mysterious death. There, they face a dangerous demonic curse that threatens their lives. Maa is scheduled to release in theatres on June 27.
