Johnny Lever Reacts to Hera Pheri 3 Controversy Between Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal

Actor Johnny Lever has shared his opinion on the ongoing dispute between Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal related to Hera Pheri 3. The controversy started when Paresh Rawal suddenly exited the film. Reports say that Akshay, who is also the film’s producer, filed a lawsuit against Paresh for quitting the film midway after taking an advance payment of ₹11 lakh.
Later, Paresh Rawal’s team clarified that he had returned the full amount along with 15% interest. They also claimed that Akshay’s team failed to provide the script of Hera Pheri 3, which was the main reason for his exit.
Now, Johnny Lever, who is also a part of Hera Pheri 3, has spoken about the issue. In an interview with Zoom, he said:
“I feel Paresh ji should do the film. They should sit together and talk. Fans will miss him a lot if he’s not in the film. Without him, the fun won’t be the same. So, I think they should resolve the matter by talking.”
Johnny also shared how he was approached for the film. Jokingly, he said,
“Even I got the ‘Hera Pheri warning’ – that I’m already booked!”
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is currently promoting his upcoming film Housefull 5. During the trailer launch, when asked about the issue with Paresh, Akshay said:
“This is not the right place to talk about it. It’s a serious issue and will be handled in court. I don’t want to say anything more right now.”
Actor Suniel Shetty, who also stars in Hera Pheri 3, agreed with Johnny Lever’s point of view. He said:
“A film becomes iconic when people remember the characters, not the actors. It’s not about Suniel, Akshay, or Paresh. It’s about Raju, Shyam, and Babu Rao. Nobody can replace those characters. Even when Kartik was being considered, he wasn’t replacing Raju. He was offered a different role.”
So far, it looks like most of the team, including Johnny and Suniel, want Paresh Rawal to return and resolve the issue with Akshay for the fans’ sake.
