Ileana D’Cruz, who is expecting her second child, recently shared that she was offered the chance to reprise her role in Raid 2. However, she couldn’t take it up due to scheduling conflicts.

Ileana, who played the character Malini Pathak in the 2018 film Raid, responded to a fan’s question during a recent Q&A on Instagram. The fan mentioned that they missed her in Raid 2 and Indian films. Ileana replied, saying, “I miss working in movies too. I would have loved to be a part of Raid 2. Raid was such a special film, and Malini was a really special character for me. Working with director Raj Kumar Gupta and Ajay Devgn was a wonderful experience.”
She added, “The makers of Raid 2 did offer me the role, but unfortunately, we couldn’t sort out the schedule since I had just had my baby. My priorities have changed now.”
Praising Vaani Kapoor
Ileana also praised Vaani Kapoor, who took over the role in Raid 2. “I think Vaani looked great in all the promos I’ve seen, and I’m sure she brought her own charm to the character. I hope that clears up any confusion,” she said.

Ileana got married to Michael Dolan in May 2023 and gave birth to their son in August 2023. Ileana opened up about her experience with motherhood, calling it the hardest thing she’s ever done. “It’s nothing like I expected. It’s all-consuming, 24/7, with no off days. But seeing my little one smile, hold me, or just grow into a happy and healthy boy makes me feel like I’m superwoman,” she said.
She also spoke about her challenges in accepting help from others during her pregnancy. “I found it hard to accept help at first because I wanted everything to be done my way for my baby. But sometimes, even though you know what’s best for your baby, you need a little break.”
