Anil Kapoor reportedly joined the cast of King, a much- anticipated action film starring Shah Rukh Khan. A Pinkvilla story claims that Anil Kapoor would be crucial in the movie, which is scheduled to start filming in Mumbai around May 20 and then head to Europe.
“Shah Rukh Khan plays an assassin in King, and Anil Kapoor will be seen as his handler,” a source informed the publication. Although several actors were under consideration for this part, the producers decided Anil Kapoor is the ideal fit. Working on a big-budget action picture with Shah Rukh Khan excites him as well.
Sujoy Ghosh wrote the film; Siddharth Anand, who also oversaw Pathaan, directed it. The movie is supposedly produced with consideration for the taste of the modern audience. It will feature genuine, grounded Shah Rukh Khan in an avatars never seen before. The action scenes will combine realism with technique.
King is also unique since Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and he will be sharing screen space for the first time. Along with her father, Suhana, who debuted in The Archies, will be pivotal in this movie.
Expected to be the villain, Abhishek Bachchan also stars in the movie. Not observed in Munjya but yet has a significant part is Abhay Verma The primary cast also includes Arshad Warsi, and Deepika Padukone will make a special cameo.
King is already among the most anticipated movies of the next years with a gifted star cast, thrilling plot, and Siddharth Anand’s experience in action movies. Its budget is large and it is being made internationally. Its premiere in theatres between October and December 2026 is scheduled by the creators.
