Sunny Deol Praises Salman Khan, Says He’s the Most Supportive Actor in Bollywood
Before the release of his film Sikandar, Salman Khan said in an interview that many people from the film industry don’t promote or give shoutouts for his movies, even though he always supports their films. Now, actor Sunny Deol has responded to Salman’s comment and called him “the most supportive actor in Bollywood.”
While speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Sunny was asked if unity is missing in Bollywood. He replied, “I feel that in the end, we are all human beings. Every person has their own way of thinking and doing things. Everyone wants others to speak nicely about them or see their work do well. And there’s nothing wrong with saying that. But many times in our industry, we just don’t talk about certain things.”
Sunny Deol further added that there’s no real negativity between actors. “I believe everyone likes each other. Sometimes, small misunderstandings happen, and there may be some distance. But deep down, I don’t think anyone has negative feelings for anyone. Salman has always been very supportive of others. And I’m sure his co-actors and industry friends are also supportive of him. Earlier, Salman had mentioned that his industry friends rarely promote his films. He said, “Maybe they think I don’t need it, but the truth is, everyone needs support. For example, Mohanlal’s film released today — I hope it does well. My film is coming out in two days. I think Sunny’s film Jaat is releasing next week, and the way he’s going, I think he’ll hit it out of the park. I even heard Mohanlal speak about it.”
During promotions of Sikandar, Salman Khan gave a shoutout to Sunny Deol for his film Jaat. Sunny also wished Salman all the best for Sikandar. Right now, Sikandar has made ₹107.1 crore at the Indian box office. Sunny’s Jaat, which released on Thursday, is expected to become the second-biggest opening of his career.
Sunny Deol’s Jaat Makes Strong Start at the Box Office
Sunny Deol is back in form after Gadar 2. His new action film Jaat has received a good response and is being loved across the country. After several films that didn’t perform well, Jaat seems to be part of his comeback. The movie has now become the second-highest opening of his career.
Jaat Day 1 Collection
On its first day, Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni, earned ₹9.62 crore at the Indian box office. It narrowly missed crossing the double-digit mark but still had a strong start. With good word-of-mouth, collections are expected to grow in the coming days.
Jaat vs Other Bollywood Openers of 2025
Jaat has done better than many other Bollywood releases this year. It earned more on Day 1 compared to films like:
- Deva – ₹5.78 crore
- The Diplomat – ₹4.03 crore
- Badass Ravi Kumar – ₹3.52 crore
- Emergency – ₹3.11 crore
However, it earned less than some of the top openers of 2025:
- Sky Force – ₹15.30 crore
- Sikandar – ₹30.06 crore
- Chhaava – ₹33.10 crore
