Sunita Ahuja shared her experience of adjusting to life after marrying Govinda, saying, “When I married Govinda, he had a big family. I was just 18, and I was only 19 when Tina was born, so I was still a child myself when I became a mother.”

She said she accepted everything because she was deeply in love with her husband. “I loved him so much. He had told me earlier that his mother would run the house as long as she was around, and after that, I could manage things. So, I got used to the other kids, like Krushna Abhishek and Vinay, being in the house. They were very young, and I love kids. My heart wouldn’t allow me to throw anyone out just because Govinda’s mom wasn’t there anymore. I believed that if you do good deeds, God will take care of everything, even if the kids don’t.”
Although Govinda recently reconciled with Krushna Abhishek, Sunita may still not be on talking terms with him or his wife, Kashmera. She added, “Just because I loved Govinda so much, I put up with everything.”
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja got married in 1987 in a love marriage, at a time when Govinda was still struggling to establish his career in acting. In a recent interview, Sunita and their daughter Tina Ahuja opened up about their marriage and the challenges they faced. During the conversation, Tina shared how her parents got married, and how her grandfather didn’t attend the wedding.
Tina explained, “My mom used to wear hot pants, lived in Pali Hill, and came from a wealthy background. My dad, on the other hand, wasn’t financially well off and was struggling in Virar. My maternal grandfather was quite well-to-do compared to my dad. It was like a typical Bollywood story, where my grandfather told my mom, ‘Are you crazy? He’s just an aspiring actor.’ He wasn’t happy with their relationship and didn’t even attend the wedding.” check out the full video.
