Saif Ali Khan was attacked early on Thursday, January 16, when an intruder broke into his Mumbai home. The actor was stabbed six times by the assailant. He was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital at 3:30 AM and underwent surgery. His team confirmed that he is recovering and doctors are monitoring his condition closely.
The attack has caused a stir, and reactions have come from the film industry, including Saif’s neighbor, actress Karishma Tanna. Speaking to The Times of India, Karishma said, “There’s chaos outside, with police and media everywhere. This incident should serve as a wake-up call for many buildings in Bandra.” She also stressed the need for improved security, saying, “I’ve been asking my housing society to strengthen security for over a year. The watchmen need proper training. They’re not equipped to handle emergencies like this. If a burglar breaks in, how can a family protect themselves? It’s frightening.” read more…Saif Ali Khan Attack: CCTV Footage Uncovers Suspect, Actor ‘Stable After Surgery’
Karishma added, “This should be a lesson for everyone. No family should go through such an experience. I’m sure my building will improve security now, possibly by hiring more guards.” When asked if the incident disturbed her sleep, Karishma said it didn’t, but she noted that security guards and committee members in her building were gathered outside to discuss the situation.
Karishma lives in a building diagonally opposite to Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s home, in the same lane in Bandra (West). Meanwhile, the Mumbai Crime Branch has identified a suspect linked to the attack. Investigations show that the intruder entered Saif’s home by scaling the wall from an adjacent building.
