He expressed his frustration, calling it “unacceptable” for the media to continuously link his wife to the ongoing investigation. Kundra emphasized that such reports were unfair and hurtful to Shetty’s image. Kundra has made his first official statement following the recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids on his properties, which are part of the ongoing investigation into a pornographic content case.

Raj Kundra Responds to Media Coverage
Late on Friday, Raj Kundra took to his Instagram stories to address the media speculation surrounding the raids. He confirmed that he is fully cooperating with the investigation, which has been ongoing for the past four years.
“I’m fully complying with the ongoing investigation that has been going on for the last four years,” Kundra wrote. “As for the claims of ‘associates’, ‘pornographic’, and ‘money laundering’, no amount of sensationalism will hide the truth. In the end, justice will prevail!”
Kundra also expressed his frustration with the media, especially with reports involving his wife, Shilpa Shetty. He called it “unacceptable” to repeatedly drag her name into the controversy. “Please stop dragging my wife into unrelated matters. Respect the boundaries!” he urged.
Shilpa Shetty’s Lawyer Denies Any Connection
On the same day, Shilpa Shetty’s lawyer, Advocate Prashant Patil, issued a statement rejecting the media’s attempt to link her to the case. He clarified that no ED raids had taken place at Shilpa Shetty’s residence and denied any connection between her and the investigation.
“These reports are false and misleading. As per my instructions, there has been no Enforcement Directorate raid on Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra, as she has no involvement in any offence,” the statement read.
Patil further emphasized that the case is focused solely on Raj Kundra and that Shilpa Shetty is not involved in any criminal activities related to the matter. He also warned the media to stop using her name and image in connection with the investigation. “Strict action will be taken against irresponsible journalism if Mrs. Shetty’s pictures or videos are used in this context,” he said.
Background on the Case
Raj Kundra has been accused of distributing pornographic content through mobile apps and other platforms. He was arrested in July 2021 in connection to the case but was granted bail shortly afterward. The investigation is still ongoing, with Kundra maintaining his innocence and cooperating with the authorities.
