Bollywood fans are in for a treat this Holi as the beloved romantic drama Namastey London, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, is set to return to cinemas on March 14, 2025. The re-release aims to bring back the magic of this cherished love story, nearly 18 years after it first won hearts.

Directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Namastey London originally released in 2007. The film beautifully mixes romance, comedy, and cultural themes. It tells the story of Arjun (Akshay Kumar), a simple Punjabi man, and Jasmeet “Jazz” Malhotra (Katrina Kaif), a British-born woman struggling to balance her Western lifestyle with her Indian roots. The movie explores cultural differences, family expectations, and the power of love, which resonated with audiences worldwide.

Akshay Kumar shared the news of the re-release on Instagram, writing, “Thrilled to announce the re-release of #NamasteyLondon on the big screen this Holi, 14th March! Get ready to relive the magic – unforgettable songs, iconic dialogues, and timeless romance with @katrinakaif, all over again. See you at the movies!” Fans were quick to react, flooding the comments with excitement and calling it one of Akshay’s best performances.

The film’s music, composed by Himesh Reshammiya, was a huge hit. Songs like Main Jahaan Rahoon, Chakna Chakna, and Rafta Rafta are still loved by fans today. Alongside Akshay and Katrina, the movie featured Rishi Kapoor as Jazz’s caring father, Manmohan Malhotra. The cast also included Nina Wadia, Javed Sheikh, Upen Patel, Clive Standen, and a special cameo by Riteish Deshmukh.

Namastey London was a big success both critically and commercially. It earned ₹71.40 crore globally and became one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2007. The film’s heartfelt story, strong performances, and amazing music made it a favorite among audiences.
