He shared, “Every year, Mr. Bachchan would host a Diwali celebration at his house, and I would pass by, admiring the decorations. I always wished to be invited. One year, I decided to take a chance. I had a Hummer, so I drove in without an invitation, took a couple of rounds inside the premises, and then left. I would often invite him to my shows and send him messages. He’d always reply with a ‘God bless you.’”
Mika also opened up about a hilarious prank played on him by singer Daler Mehendi. He recalled, “Daler Paaji once told me, ‘I’ll get the real Mr. Bachchan on the line.’ He dialed a number and said, ‘Mr. Bachchan, here, my brother Mika wants to talk to you.’ I stood up immediately out of respect, thinking I was speaking to the legend himself. Little did I know, Daler Paaji had tricked me into talking to a duplicate!”
Reflecting on his actual meeting with Amitabh Bachchan, Mika shared a heartwarming story: “Once, while I was on a shoot, Mr. Bachchan called me over and asked why I had stopped sending him messages. He said he always looked forward to them and that I shouldn’t stop. That moment made my admiration for him grow even deeper.”
Mika also recalled how Bachchan had kept his promise to attend a “muhurat” event for one of Mika’s less successful films. “He said he’d be there at 9 am, and he showed up exactly on time. He kept his word,” Mika added.
Known for his hit party tracks like Rani Tu Main Raja, Chinta Ta Ta Chita Chita, Pungi, and Long Drive, Mika Singh recently lent his voice to the title track Pushpa Pushpa in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule.
