Kareena Kapoor shared a statement on Thursday night, saying, “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still processing everything that happened. During this difficult time, I kindly request the media and paparazzi to stop the constant speculation and coverage.”
Kareena Kapoor further emphasized, “We appreciate your concern, but the overwhelming attention is putting our safety at risk. Please respect our space and allow us to heal as a family. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive period.”
Details of the Attack on Saif Ali Khan:
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked early on Thursday morning in his Bandra apartment. The 54-year-old actor suffered multiple stab wounds, including one near his spine. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and is currently in recovery.
The Intruder’s Motive:
The intruder, who reportedly sneaked into the apartment, demanded Rs 1 crore during the attack. According to the police, the attacker did not break into the flat but may have entered earlier in the night with the intent to rob. The intruder fled from the scene using the building’s stairs and remains at large.
The Nanny’s Account of the Incident:
Eliyama Philip, the nanny of Saif and Kareena’s son Jeh, was the first to encounter the intruder. She recounted that she woke up around 2 am to see a man approaching Jeh’s bed. In a panic, she tried to protect the child but was pushed away by the intruder, who was armed with a wooden stick and a knife. The intruder demanded money, stating he needed Rs 1 crore.

Upon hearing Philip’s screams, Saif and Kareena Kapoor rushed out of their room. The intruder then attacked Saif with the knife. The commotion caused other household staff to react, but the assailant fled before they could intervene.

CCTV footage captured the suspect, wearing a red scarf and carrying a backpack, running down the stairs from the building’s sixth floor. Police are now working to track down the intruder.
