
Health Issues After Mother’s Death
Actor Mukul Dev passed away on Friday, May 23, at a hospital in Delhi. He was 54 years old. His close friend, actor Vindu Dara Singh, confirmed the news and shared that Mukul had been unwell for the last 8 to 10 days. He also said that Mukul was emotionally affected by his mother’s recent death and had stopped taking care of his health.
Mukul was supposed to attend a photoshoot for his upcoming film Son of Sardaar 2, but he suddenly stopped responding to phone calls. This film will now be remembered as his last. In the original Son of Sardaar (2012), he played a key role as Tony Singh Sandhu, the brother of characters played by Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha. The movie was a commercial success and earned over ₹161 crore globally.
Last Film and Family Statement

Son of Sardaar 2 is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Devgn Films and Jio Studios. It stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Mrunal Thakur, Juhi Chawla, and Suniel Shetty. The film is currently in post-production, and the release date is yet to be announced. Mukul’s brother, actor Rahul Dev, released an official statement on Instagram, informing that the cremation will take place on May 24 at 5 PM at Dayanand Mukti Dham, H6OR & GF4, Nizamuddin West, Delhi-110013. Mukul Dev is survived by his daughter, Sia Dev, and his siblings, Rashmi Kaushal and Rahul Dev.
