The investigation involves around 15 different locations being searched, according to a report from PTI. Authorities are looking into the suspects’ alleged role in distributing adult content via mobile apps and other online platforms.
Raj Kundra, who is married to Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, is at the center of the case. The probe follows the filing of an FIR related to the distribution of pornographic videos. In addition to Kundra, other notable figures, including actresses Sherlyn Chopra and Poonam Pandey, have also been named in the case.
In December 2022, the Supreme Court granted anticipatory bail to Kundra, Chopra, Pandey, and others involved, offering temporary relief while the investigation continues. The money laundering case is linked to a network allegedly involved in the distribution of adult content through mobile applications. Authorities are scrutinizing Kundra’s financial dealings in connection with this operation. Despite previous legal challenges, including Kundra‘s arrest in 2021, he was later granted bail.
