Rajpal Yadav Talks About Baby John’s Failure
Rajpal Yadav has shared his thoughts on the poor performance of Baby John at the box office and discussed how his co-star, Varun Dhawan, handled the setback.
Baby John Didn’t Perform as Expected
Varun Dhawan’s recent film, Baby John, failed to perform well at the box office. Despite being a big-budget film, it could not recover its production costs. The movie was a remake of the Tamil film Theri but didn’t connect with the audience as expected. Rajpal Yadav, who co-starred in the film, explained that the movie was well-made but suffered due to being a remake.
Rajpal Yadav’s Take on the Failure
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rajpal said, “If Baby John wasn’t a remake, it would have been the best film of my 25-year career. But since Theri was already made with Vijay in the lead, the audience had already seen the story, and that hurt the box office performance.”
Varun Dhawan’s Response to the Failure
When asked if Varun was upset about the movie’s failure, Rajpal clarified, “Varun is such a sweet and hardworking guy. He always tries to do something different, and we should appreciate that. It takes a lot of courage to take risks in this industry.”
Rajpal’s Role in Baby John
Rajpal Yadav played the role of Constable Ram Sevak, working alongside Varun Dhawan’s character, DCP Satya Verma. While the movie received negative reviews overall, Rajpal’s performance was appreciated, particularly for his action scenes, which were new for him in his career.
